Choose a pot slightly larger than the plant’s root ball. A pot that is too large holds extra moisture and can lead to overwatering.

Check drainage

Look for a drainage hole. If a decorative pot has none, use it as a cover pot around a nursery pot with drainage, or add a layer of drainage material. [General guidance]
